What brought you to KPU and your program of study?

The Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology evening program brought me to KPU.

Can you briefly describe your current position and your main day to day responsibilities?

At present, I am a continuing sessional faculty member at the School of Computing, University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, BC. I am also engaged as an Adjunct Professor at New York Institute of Technology in Vancouver, BC. I briefly taught at KPU and Yorkville University's New Westminster campus.

Which skills, knowledge, or experiences from KPU have been most valuable in your career so far?

My B.Tech (IT) degree gave me the IT foundations I needed to advance my career goals and earn an advanced degree, a Master of Business Administration in Digital Technology Management from Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC. I also earned a Master of Public Affairs in Governance and Public Policy from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. All these credentials, along with years of experience across different industries, helped me become the Chief Executive Officer at The Bangladesh Rating Agency Limited, a subsidiary of Dun & Bradstreet South Asia, Middle East, and Africa Limited. I later completed a project assignment as an independent consultant at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, Thailand.

What advice would you give current KPU students who want to build a successful career after graduation?

Aim high and stay focused. Push yourself to reach your highest potential, ignoring all the distractions around you.
