What brought you to KPU and your program of study?

Coming from another country, I didn’t know much about KPU, but I liked the programs and courses, and their alumni success. In addition, I read great things online about KPU, so I decided to apply, and I am happy I did!

Can you briefly describe your current position and your main day to day responsibilities?

I work in an indie game development studio, as a gameplay programmer. In indie studios, people usually do more tasks and it’s beneficial to know about different aspects of game development.
My day usually starts with a stand-up meeting and then programming features or implementing user interfaces and collaborating with other departments.

Which skills, knowledge, or experiences from KPU have been most valuable in your career so far?

Teamwork has helped a lot, and knowing foundation of many aspects of game development has really helped me in my current job.

What advice would you give current KPU students who want to build a successful career after graduation?

Try to network and attend events. Don’t be afraid of putting yourself and your work out there. Unfortunately in current job market, you have to pursue the job. Do not lose hope, improve your portfolio and apply!
