ANUPREET KAUR

Marketing Management - 2026

What brought you to KPU and your program of study?

I first came to KPU as an international student in 2016 and completed my Diploma in Public Relations. Through that experience, I discovered that my true passion was marketing. That's why I returned to KPU in 2022 to pursue my Marketing degree. I came back because of KPU's supportive community, hands-on learning, and strong reputation for preparing students with practical and career-ready skills.

Can you briefly describe your current position and your main day to day responsibilities?

I currently work as a Co-op Officer at KPU's Career Development Centre. I first joined the department as a Co-op Student Assistant, and after graduating, I had the opportunity to return in a full-time role. Today, I am excited to support students throughout their co-op journey by answering questions, guiding them through the process, and connecting them with resources. It's rewarding to give back to the department that supported me and help other students make the most of their co-op experience.

Which skills, knowledge, or experiences from KPU have been most valuable in your career so far?

KPU gave me a strong foundation in both communication and marketing through its hands-on, project-based learning. The practical assignments, supportive instructors, and co-op experience helped me build confidence, strengthen my problem-solving and teamwork skills, and apply what I learned in real-world settings. Those experiences have been invaluable in my career and continue to help me support students in my current role.

What advice would you give current KPU students who want to build a successful career after graduation?

Take advantage of every opportunity KPU offers especially co-op, networking events, and campus resources. Stay curious, build meaningful connections, and don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. The experiences you gain today can open doors to your future career.
