ANDREW YANG
Traditional Chinese Medicine - Acupuncture - 2018
What brought you to KPU and your program of study?
I first heard about the program from a news report. I've had early exposure to TCM as a young boy, and having this program at local university sparked my interest to apply and immerse myself in this field of health care.
Can you briefly describe your current position and your main day to day responsibilities?
I'm currently a licensed and registered acupuncturist at a number of clinics. I see patients for a variety of ailments including pain, bloating, insomnia, headaches.
Which skills, knowledge, or experiences from KPU have been most valuable in your career so far?
The clinical hours that we spent at the various clinics, guided by the expertise and patience of our proctors, bestowed upon us the confidence and wisdom to treat our patients on our own.
What advice would you give current KPU students who want to build a successful career after graduation?
We all depend on others to find our success. Luck and hard work is the recipe for success.
